Jazlyn Tugade Beauty Artistry

Jazlyn Tugade, Hair & Beauty Artist / Owner I’m still inspired by my craft after two decades behind-the-chair. It’s a blessing to have built a career around something I truly love. My approach is thoughtful & intentional, blending personalized artistry with careful attention to detail. My mission is simple: to create timeless, wearable looks that complement individuality, lifestyles, & evolving sense of self. I welcome people from all walks of life! I especially enjoy connecting with women balancing careers, family, and everything in between. I expect each guest to leave feeling polished, confident, & genuinely cared for. My private studio is a space where we can create a look that feels like you while relaxing, recharging & leaving the demands of the outside world behind- even if for a few hours. On a personal note: I call the San Francisco Bay Area my home. Nesting spot was Daly City with San Francisco as my playground/learning ground. Attended Mercy High School in San Francisco and the University of San Francisco. I love being a native of “The Bay”. I am surrounded by many cultures, religions, lifestyles and perspectives. Growing up in the late ‘80’s and ‘90’s, I embraced my background yet felt different. I rarely saw people who looked like me represented in mainstream culture. I remember telling my mom that I wanted Prell because I thought it would make my hair yellow (if it were only that easy). I wish you could have seen her face! I eventually realized that who I saw on television didn’t represent everybody. Acknowledging and respecting differences shaped my appreciation for individuality. I learned the importance of feeling seen, understood & celebrated. I earned a B.A. degree in Psychology with an Ethnic Studies emphasis. I really thought I was going to be a therapist or counselor. After college, I worked within the dot-com world. Then worked various marketing positions for 3 major corporations. Office life wasn’t where I belonged. I wanted to connect with people in a creative and personal way. One that could help someone feel like themselves and express individuality…just not in an office nor clinical setting. Hair and makeup have always been my creative outlet. Friends and family were my “for real OG” clients! I’ve been at this a long time. But if we really want to keep track, I’ve been at this PROFESSIONALLY & LICENSED for 20 years. I decided to trust my instincts after one too many long days at the office. I left corporate life, enrolled in Miss Marty’s School of Beauty in San Francisco, and never looked back! When I’m not behind-the-chair, you’ll often find me cooking, singing, and simply enjoying life with friends & family- sometimes strangers (yes, I’m one of those who talks too much and to too many people). I’m a proud and busy mama to three young daughters. I also love music. Nothing is better than eating a home-cooked meal, listening to a playlist of random songs, and watching my girls run wild (while trying not falling asleep). I’m a bit of a homebody who likes to visit a bar once in a blue moon. Then there’s my obsession for coffee…let’s pick up that conversation in the studio.
